How to select a profitable niche?

So before going on to the actual subject let's know what is a niche? 

A niche is a topic or a subject. However all topics or niches do not have very good profit. For example there are a few evergree niches like "weight loss programs" which are always attracting visitors and traffic from the web. But the real question is how to know whether a niche is profitable or not?

A niche can be deemed profitable if it is attracting traffic to it. We can use several tools to check these. I'll tell you about a few very good free keyword research in my "How to do keyword" research post. Till then, lets just use Google Adwords keyword research tool.

Just for the purpose of this tutorial, I'll create a website using free domain and do the keyword research and all the other stuffs for it. It will be part of this tutorial series and also a trial to see whether my method really works or not! So let's start. 

There are two ways of selecting a niche. You can either choose the keyword first or a product to market first. I'll take the second option. I'll also provide small video tutorials and screen captures along the way for you all to see what the results are.
