Basic SEO Steps

SEO or Search Engine Optimization has to be done in a few broadly classified steps. These steps are very important and always has to be taken care of as these steps determine how well you are going to rank on the Google search pages. Mainly the steps are comprised of the following steps:

1. Selection of niche.
2. Keyword research for that particular niche.
3. Analyzing the keywords and shortlisting a few.
4. Creating a niche website.
5. On page optimization.
6. Off page optimization.
7. Backlink building.
8. Rinse and repeat.

All these steps will be covered in the coming few posts. Always remember that these steps are essential. But how you do them is flexible. I have my own method of doing SEO for a website and other people may have a different approach. Different SEO gurus practice different methods of SEO but basically all these comprise of the above steps. So follow these steps but be flexible. Google algorithms are known to be the most fickle thing in the world of Internet. So if you want to beat Google, or atleast be at par with them then you have to stay flexible!
